If you’ve received a notice from Ambassador that your SSL certificates are approaching their expiration date, you’ll need to renew them to prevent interruption to your portal. If you do not update your files prior to the expiration, ambassadors will encounter an error message that the page is not secure.

Before you begin, we recommend verifying that you have the correct file types and that the files have an updated expiration date. This will help to avoid any validation errors. If you need more information about the files needed, check out our support article: SSL Certificate and Key File Resources

Once you've reviewed the SSL certificate and key files, follow the steps below to update your existing custom domain.

​Step 1: In the navigation menu on the left, click "Portal." 

Step 2: At the top of this page, you’ll see several tabs. Click the “Custom Domain” tab on the far right. You’ll end up here. 

Step 3: On this page, you can view and edit your domains. Click the box next to the domain name and several buttons will appear, select “Edit.

Step 4: You’ll be redirected to an upload page. You can either drag and drop the file or click to upload the new certificate and key files to their corresponding fields. 

Step 5: When complete, click the blue “Update Domain” button to begin processing. 

Step 6: If all validation steps have passed, you’ll receive a success message.

Please note, if you encounter an error while uploading your new certificate and key files, your current SSL configuration will continue to work in the meantime as long as the files have not expired.
