Overview

When creating a campaign, you'll need to set a default URL that your ambassador's referral link will point to. Typically, this URL is set to a page providing information about your product or service, the homepage or even a dedicated, customized landing page for anyone that has been referred.

For those on an Enterprise plan, you can add additional landing pages and customize them with information such as a description, source and medium. Creating multiple landing pages for your campaign is a great way to provide ambassadors with additional links that point to a specific product, service or promotion.

How do I add a landing page?

If you have an Enterprise plan, follow the steps below to create multiple landing pages. Once added, these landing pages will be accessible for any existing or future ambassadors that have access to the campaign.

Step 1: In the navigation menu on the left, click “Campaigns.”

Step 2: Check the box next to the campaign name and a blue "Edit" button will appear.

Step 3: Upon clicking "Edit" you'll be taken to the “Campaign Setup” tab.

Step 4: Scroll down to the "Landing Pages" section and click "+ Landing Page" to add a new landing page.

Step 5: A new page will open to add the landing page URL, a description, source and medium.

  • Description: The description is used to indicate how the link will be used. For instance, if the link points to a blog post for an upcoming webinar, you can write a brief description here to distinguish this link from others.

  • Source: You can fill in this field or leave it blank. The source is used to indicate where the referral originated from, such as a personal website, blog or Facebook.

  • Medium: You can fill in this field or leave it blank. The medium is used to indicate the type of content that was used when promoting the referral link, such as a video or article.

Please note, you can utilize the green button to merge ambassador field values, such as the share code, into the landing page URL. These values, most often used in the form of UTM parameters, must be supported already in the landing page URL. Allowing empty values in the URL path could result in a 404 page.

Step 6: When complete, click “Save Landing Page." Your new landing page will be visible within the "Landing Pages" section. You can edit or delete the landing page at any time by clicking on the gear icon.

How do I share a landing page with my ambassadors?

If you are providing portal access, all landing page URLs will be available to your ambassadors within the "Share Links" tab inside the portal.

You can also utilize the landing page link merge tags in the campaign email templates to send the link to your ambassadors in transactional notifications such as the Campaign Access email.

To copy the merge tag for a specific landing page, simply hover over the {landingpage_link:ID} merge tag until a copy button appears. Upon clicking copy, a drop-down menu will appear with all landing pages for this campaign. Click the copy button next to the link to copy the appropriate merge tag and paste it into the email template.
