Here's Whats New
Refreshed Navigation
A new navigation makes it easier to find what you need, helping you to work more efficiently in Ambassador. The primary left-hand nav bar will feature a breakout of all pages for easier access, introducing you to new sections, data objects, and features - as well as a revamp to your favorites.
Referral Attribution
Referral attribution links a referred prospect/customer to the advocate (previously known as "ambassador") who referred them—usually at the first tracked stage a customer takes after clicking a referral link or entering a code—such as, lead form, account creation or making a purchase. This record is typically created automatically via your data-layer integration or an Ambassador widget.
From the Referral Attribution page, you can view, deactivate, and activate new attributions individually or in bulk using a CSV import.
Each attribution record logs all attribution changes for historical reference.
Note for current Ambassador customers - Referral Attribution records will replace the need for $0 commission events.
Orders
The enhanced Order object enables you to record all purchases, closed/won deals, and other conversion events, with or without referral attribution, facilitating clearer visibility to the buyer journey and lifetime value per customer and unique referrals.
-
Record purchases and other conversion events with details and revenue over time.

Within each Program, you can create Evergreen or Targeted campaigns.
-
Create an Evergreen campaign for your Referral and/or Loyalty programs that continuously run.
-

Campaigns are redesigned to run marketing, loyalty, referral programs and more.
-
Campaigns are now fully automated with a comprehensive rules-based engine
-
Each Campaign allows for the creation and selection of linked segments, landing pages, assets, emails, loyalty tasks & badges, advocate portal, automations, reward rules and payment vaults.
Automations
New Automations tool with triggers, conditions, and outcomes to efficiently build and run flexible campaigns for loyalty, referral, feedback, marketing and more.
-
Start from an Automation template to reduce setup time or create your own.
-
Automations are built using a logical block editor that shows the all the triggers, conditions and outcomes interconnected with boolean operators like if/else, AND, OR functions.
-
Reduce engineering effort by utilizing Automations to:
-
Set advanced reward logic, such as issuing varied reward amounts based on the revenue or specific product details passed with an Order.
-
With reward logic stored in the Automation or Campaign’s Reward Policy, you can easily update existing details to run a limited-time incentive increase.
-
Efficiently launch a bonus reward offer or targeted promotions.
-
-
Reward Customers without generating a commission and referral link for them.
-
Trigger or schedule emails for program invites to new customers, engaging existing advocates, promotions, and more.
Recognition with Loyalty Tiers & Badges
The system now enables the definition of a full tiers-based loyalty system that uses points and automations to promote/demote users into the right loyalty tier. You can independently create badges that can be assigned using automation rules based on any trigger/condition.
Pages & Widgets
Create and embed widgets hosted on your own landing pages in your corporate web infrastructure or, for faster deployment and lower IT-overhead, on Ambassador-hosted landing pages.
-
Install widgets on your own website landing page/application or utilize an Ambassador-hosted landing page for faster time to launch.
-
Types of widgets available for Advocates:
-
Registration - Option to collect just the email or enable more fields to make it either a simple registration widget (1-3 fields) or a long-form registration widget that you can install on an Ambassador-hosted landing page.
-
Sharing - Prompts the advocate to utilize their referral link, QR code, or integrated channels to share and refer.
-
-
Types of widgets available for Referred Customers:
-
Coupon Code - Offer a discount code to referred visitors.
-
Welcome Message - Welcome referred visitors with a message for a personalized experience or to signal that a discount is auto-applied.
-
-
Within a new advanced Editor, Widgets can be configured from a template or scratch with options to apply your brand kit and customize the layout, style and more.
-
For existing Ambassador Customers:
-
Now have the ability to create more than one Ambassador-hosted registration form.
-
These will replace your current Ambassador widgets, and utilizes a new implementation method that eliminates the need for custom snippet domains.
-
Reward Rules
Set limits to control how rewards are created.
Reward policies help you set limits on how much someone can earn in a campaign, and—if you use Portal Rewards—add expirations so unused cash or points return to your budget.
-
Limits and expirations are optional, but you still need a policy for every campaign (just leave those fields blank if not used).
-
Limits are checked when rewards are created. If a limit’s reached, new rewards are denied automatically.
-
Expiration starts when a Portal Rewards cash or points reward is fulfilled.
-
You can add extra limits in a Payment Vault policy.
-
Each campaign needs its own reward policy. You can’t share or reassign them, but you can clone one for another campaign.
Reward Catalog & Payment Vaults
Configure your preferred reward methods in a Reward Catalog, and then set up Payment Vaults to customize reward options between campaigns and control budgets.
-
Reward options include Tango gift cards, prepaid cards, donations, Reward Link, PayPal, Venmo, Shopify Gift Cards, Coupon Codes, and Custom Rewards like account credits and swag.
-
Within each Payment Vault, you can manage reward budgets, redemption limits, and available items for each campaign. Create one for each reward method and assign it to one or more campaigns—sharing budgets, inventory, and rules across all.
Reward Transactions & Ledger
Behind the scenes, the system tracks the reward transaction from reward creation all the way to redemption and offers a full ledger view of every admin, system, and user action involved.
From the Reward Transactions table, you can manually approve, deny, update and fulfill rewards.
Communication Channels
New centralized email templates triggered by Automations that provide advanced flexibility and reduce administrative time.
-
All emails customized in a centralized area
-
New powerful email editor and templates
-
Categorized merge tags
-
Customize the communication experience through email templates and send with automations
Dashboards & Reporting
A new Performance Center consolidates all metrics across the product and presents a cohesive set of charts and tables to provide clearer visibility between metrics related to Audience Activity, Emails, Rewards, Loyalty, and Journeys.
