PayPal's REST integration provides a fast and convenient method to make payments to your ambassadors.

To set up the PayPal REST integration, you will need to have a PayPal Business account with a confirmed email address and bank account. If you do not have a PayPal business account, you can sign up here.
 

How do I configure the PayPal REST integration?

Follow the steps below to configure the PayPal REST integration.
 
Step 1: Start by logging into your PayPal Developer account here.
 
Step 2: Once you’re logged in, navigate to https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accountStatus/ to check your account permissions. You’ll need to ensure that you have permission to use “Payouts.” This will be designated by a green check mark in the “Live” column. If there is no check mark, click “Enable.” 

Step 3: To create a REST app, go to https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications/ and click the “Create App” button.

Step 4: Enter the “App Name” and select your sandbox developer account. When complete, click “Create App.” 

Please note, it can take 1-3 business days for your app to be approved by PayPal. You will receive a confirmation email from PayPal once approved. Upon receiving this email, follow the remaining steps outlined in this article. 

Step 5: Next, click the “Live” tab in the top right corner. 

Step 6: Scroll down to the “Live App Settings” section and make sure “Payouts” is checked. If not, check the box and click “Save.”

Step 7: Using the Live API Credentials at the top of this page, copy your “Client ID” and “Secret” and paste them into the corresponding fields in your Ambassador account here. Please note, this integration will not properly send payments if you have entered your Sandbox API Credentials. 

Step 8: When finished, click “Save changes.”
