Overview
Are you rewarding referrers for 2+ events completed by a new customer they refer?
Such as:
First event - an initial purchase, signup, or when a specific stage in the sales journey is complete like "qualified lead" or "demo complete".
Second / Recurring event - Recurring subscriptions, second purchase, renewals, or closed deals.
If so, you can enable metrics in the Portal for your participants to see the total and timeline view of what they've earned between the two event types.
Portal View
When enabled, the metrics are available in their Portal in two formats:
(1.) Total Metrics
Within the Dashboard and Stats tabs, participants can see two metrics with the total rewards earned for each event. The total includes earned commissions in a pending, approved/unpaid, and paid status.
Tip! You can toggle these on/off and customize the name of each metric between each campaign or set globally for all campaigns. Read below for instructions.
(2.) Timeline View
Within the Stats tab, participants can access the First Time vs Returning Customers chart to view a timeline of their earned rewards by event type.
When the toggle is enabled for the total metrics, this graph is automatically enabled as well.
Instructions to Enable and Customize
The total metrics and graph are disabled by default. You can toggle the metrics on (which also enables the graph) and customize the title of the metrics.
Step 1: From the main navigation, click on Referrals > Campaigns > select your campaign > Portal > click Edit next to Display options.
Step 2: Scroll down and select each of these to enable them

Step 3: If you'd like, you can customize the title of each metric box in these fields shown above:
Custom Title for “Earned - First Event” metric box
Custom Title for “Earned - Second Event” metric box
Step 4: Once you're finished, click Save.
Note: Make sure to check that the settings were saved, sometimes a cookie can cause the settings not to save correctly.
