Enable reCaptcha to protect against bot activity from spamming your Ambassador powered Portal Registration Form with undesired requests.

When enabled for legacy Portal, the user will need to complete a visual challenge.

When enabled for Portal 2, the user will not be required to complete a visual challenge. Instead, we have the newest version of anti-bot validation that is performed internally with our server to detect if it is human interaction or a bot.

In either case, if there is an interaction with the form that does not pass verification, our server will block the request, display an error message, and prevent the creation of new contacts in your account from bot activity.

If you would like to enable reCaptcha for your Portal Registration Form, please contact your Customer Success Manage or support@getambassador.com and we will enable it on your account.

Is a reCAPTCHA enough for stopping malicious bots?

Please note: Researchers have demonstrated that attackers can use click farms to beat this verification with thousands of low-paid workers solving CAPTCHAs on behalf of bots. Please consider your complete program journey to identify other areas you can implement protocols for bot activity.
