Overview

Portal Display options give you the ability to customize various elements of what your participants can see in their Portal account.

In this article, you will learn about each of the Portal Display options, how to customize, and best practices tips.

Global vs. Campaign Display Options

Depending on the details of your program, you can apply the Portal Display options globally for all participants, and/or you can alter them between referral campaigns.

If Portal Display options are applied in a campaign, they will override the Global settings for members of that campaign.

How to access Portal Display options to customize

Global settings = From the main navigation, click on Portal > Portal Display.

Campaign settings = From the main navigation, click on Referrals > Campaigns > select your campaign > Portal > click Edit next to Display options.

Tip: It can be helpful to create a contact and login to the Portal in a separate browser tab to preview the changes while you're making your customization selections.

Portal Display Options

Summary List:

Customize Dashboard Tab

The Dashboard tab contains several important elements for your participants, including:

1. Select/unselect the points/referral metric boxes that apply

Below are the first set of selections that you should update to align with the details of your program. These are the boxes that appear at the top the Dashboard and Stats pages containing metrics for points and referrals.

You should review and unselect the ones that do not apply to your program, as all of them are enabled by default.

Point Related Metric Boxes

These metrics include points from Loyalty activity and/or if you are paying out Referral commission points as Portal Rewards.

Tip: Disable these if you are not issuing Loyalty points or paying out referrals with points that can be redeemed in the Portal.

  • Points earned = Lifetime number of points earned, including available, redeemed, and expired.

  • Points available = Number of points earned that are available for redemption.

  • Points redeemed = Number of points earned that have been redeemed.

  • Points expired = Number of points earned that have expired before redemption.

    • Note: Unselect if you are not setting an expiration period that a participant must redeem their points by.

Referral Related Metric Boxes

These metrics include monetary and non-monetary referral commissions across all payout methods.

Tip: If you are enabling Points earned or Referral Cash earned for Referrals, you can disable Referral Rewards paid, as those will include this metric.

If you are paying out referrals with the other reward methods other than Portal Rewards - such as gift cards, paypal, vouchers, or manual - we recommend that you enable all these metrics.

  • Referral Rewards earned = Total rewards earned from referrals, including pending, approved/unpaid, and paid.

  • Referral Rewards pending = Rewards earned from referrals that are pending review by the company.

    • In the Admin, these are in your Commissions/Pending table.

  • Referral Rewards unpaid = Rewards earned from referrals that have been approved by the company, but not yet paid.

    • In the Admin, these are in your Commissions/Unpaid table.

  • Referral Rewards paid = Lifetime rewards earned from referrals that has been paid.

  • Referral Cash Available = Value of cash earned from referrals that is available to redeem.

  • Referral Cash Redeemed = Value of cash earned from referrals that has been redeemed.
