In this article, you'll learn about what the Ambassador Portal is and walkthrough the key features available for your Referral program.

ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR PORTAL

What is the Ambassador Portal?

Upon enrollment, your program participants can receive a login to access their personal Portal account for the program, which is a mobile-friendly web application where they can:

  • Manage their profile/account information

  • View Activity and the status of referral rewards

  • Redeem issued points or cash value in the Rewards catalog

  • Quickly access their referral link or QR code to share

  • Share from the embedded referral module or mobile apps

  • Access brand Assets, content, and other resources

  • Access your custom iframed content, such as an exclusive product shopping page, lead entry form, community assets, and more.

Can the Portal be customized?

The Portal is hosted by Ambassador, but white-labeled with your company branding, customizations, and a custom url with your companies domain.

What are the Portal Access Options?

There are a few ways that you can give your program participants with access to the Portal:

  1. Initial Login URL / Password in the program welcome email.

  2. iFrame the Portal into your own product / system experience.

Light Mode and Dark Mode

Once the participant logs in, they will have either Light or Dark Mode, based on your customizations in the Campaign or global Portal settings.

My Account

In the top-right corner of the Portal, there is a My Account drop-down where the user can access their Profile settings, Logout, and click to access external links that you may added, such as a products page, help center, or support email.

In the My Profile section, the Portal user can customize their profile details, notifications, and deactivate their account if they wish.

They can also access this from the Profile tab in the left-hand navigation menu.

Navigation Menu

The main navigation menu consists of the following tabs, which you can customize the name of and show/hide those that are applicable. You can also add custom tabs to iframe in content from your website.

  • Rewards

  • Activity

  • Assets

  • Share Links

  • Profile

  • Custom Tab (if enabled)

Dashboard Tab

The Dashboard tab contains several important elements for your participants, including the following. Click here to learn about the specific Dashboard tab customizations available.

Campaign URL

This is their unique campaign referral link.

If enabled in the campaign settings by you, they can click the pencil icon to customize the landing page where their campaign link points.

Campaign Name

The name of the referral campaign they're in. If they are in more than one campaign, they can toggle between campaigns.

Metric boxes

These boxes will contain variations of points or value of rewards they've earned that are pending, unpaid, available, redeemed or expired. Each will vary based on your customizations.

Each metric has an information icon (i), when clicked, will display it's description.

Referral Module and QR Code

By default, the Referral module is enabled for participants to access/copy their share link or personal QR Code - or use the integrated social sites, email, other mobile apps to share from on their device.

Activity Overview

This is a snapshot of their activity events. Detailed activity details can be found in the Activity tab.

Stats Tab

The Stats tab includes the same points/reward metric boxes found at the top from the Dashboard page, along with additional referral stats and a graph that they can update with a date-range of their choice.

Rewards Tab

Enable one or more rewards in the Portal for participants to redeem their earned points or cash value.

Use Portal Rewards to give participants their choice of a reward with the added benefit of bringing them into the Portal to engage more with the program resources like their referral link or share module, program assets, and Loyalty features (if upgraded).

Activity Tab

The Activity tab includes a detailed table of the participants activity.

Assets Tab

Upload assets to the Portal, such as images, banner ads, pdfs, videos, and more to provide your participants with guides, resources and marketing materials to promote your company and amplify your referral program.

You can upload global assets for all participants to access or campaign specific assets.

Share Links Tab

This is a table with the participant's share link(s), where they can access more detailed information about each share link, such as the description, source, medium, clicks, referrals, earned rewards, campaign name, and referral code.

Within your Referral campaign settings, you can enable multiple share links for every enrolled ambassador, and add default details to the description, source, medium for each link.

Within your Share Links tab of the Admin, you can create multiple share links for individual ambassadors.

Coming soon, you will be able to enable your participants to create their own share links right from this tab in the Portal.

Custom Tab

You can setup custom tabs to appear in the Portal menu, to iframe pages from your website like a lead entry form, products page, resource page, and more.
